Level Up Your K3S With RumLogNG And WSJT-X Integration!
Tips and Tricks for Achieving Optimal Power Settings on Elecraft K3S and WSJT-X
1. Experiment with different power levels to find the optimal balance between signal strength and power consumption. My power output while operating portable is between 10 watts and 60 watts.
2. Use the WSJT-X signal reports. These reports can provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of your power settings and help you make adjustments if needed. I strive for signal reports between -12dB and -1dB.

I own both. Ill NEVER part with my fully loaded K3s/P3. However its sits in my rack below the 7610. I use the Icom almost exclusively for now. Its display and controls are very intuitive and to be honest I just enjoy watching the waterfall while scrolling through CW activity. The gloss black and Crome highlights are just beautiful. But I will say someday Icom will replace this radio with the latest and greatest but my K3s will still be around. I thought about selling both and getting the K4 but I'm just not that impressed by it. It looks cluttered to me.

What I did on my Elecraft K4 that should work for the 7610 is to use an HDMI capture card to usb 3.0 for the video out. Then I can get any size on my monitor for the display. Thank you for showing the radio display. Nice.

Hello, on the ChronyControl when you are syncing time are you using an external usb GPS unit? If so can you make another video on how you got that working. Thanks for the info on Macs and Ham Radio Rich. I just retired and got back into Amateur Radio after a hiatus since 1996. I have used Macs since before 1996 and have an older iMac (2011) for personal use. I wanted to upgrade to a newer iMac or Mac Book Air and use it for logging and control of the TS 440, but had reservations since I was unfamiliar with that process. I had the IC-10 chips installed when I had the new Lithium battery installed. I also found the IF-232 box I bought. Ready to go??? I hope. Your info is the most comprehensive and reassuring. I have one with an IC-7610. If you can build the proper cable, as I did, the amplifier will power on and off together with the radio. The ALC and TX signal can be attached to one of the two ACC ports on the radio (pls note, ALC could not work as expected for radio firmware 1.40 and up, BE CAREFUL and set power out manually). Also, you can set the proper band a sub-band (the entire frequency data) from the Remote connector on the radio. One connector on the SPE, two connectors on the radio (ACC 1 or 2 and Remote). The amplifier lacks an Ethernet connection, but you can add a serial to ethernet converter (such as Moxa NPort 5110A) and remotely manage your amplifier without the need for a computer connected to it, using it's original rs-232 software program.

When I click on the interface in AClog then choose a contact from the waterfall and click to contact that person, AClog opens up with a new empty log. What I want is to have it open at #30 with the 29 previous contacts showing below it. Is that possible? I stopped the attempt there so I would not lose the 29 ctx in the log. Hopefully they will show up if the contact is made and logged. Hope this is clear enough for you. I just upgraded Win from 10 to 11 and lost my previous logging method. It’s nice to hear from you Chris and thank you for commenting. I am not following, when you double-click on a callsign to start a FT8 transmission, it opens ACLog? I always have ACLog running minimized and after I click log QSO in WSJT-X, it sends the contact to ACLog. How my logged contacts are shown is determined in ACLog by choosing ascending or descending. Click on the top of the column, REC# and it will change for you. If you want I can send you a screen shot. My e-mail is good on QRZ.com. Thanks and 73 and good DX!

The question is can you download HRD on 2 different computers using the same license agreement ?

I bought a 7610 two months ago and it is a true game-changer. The dual receivers make it so much easier to work DXpeditions running split and the selectivity of the rig is top-notch. My Yaesu FTDX-3000 is second best now and my Yaesu FT-710 can do the job too. 73 DE WA5RR
